Taking the first step to seeing a psychologist can be daunting.

Finding the right 'fit' between yourself and your psychologist is an important part of your therapy experience.

ABOUT

hi there

ABOUT ME

My name is Phoebe. I am a psychologist and I work at Mind & Body Psychology in Red Hill. I have worked with adults and adolescents primarily in the public health sector in both hospital and community-based settings. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.

Establishing a warm, nurturing therapeutic relationship is an important part of my practice. I will use our time together to listen deeply without judgment, collaborate with you on a treatment plan and use only evidence-based strategies to support your wellbeing.

MY APPROACH

I will work collaboratively with you on what is important to you. Through our sessions, I will be a support for you to build insight into the impact your background and history has on your life today. My goal is always to help you to become more comfortable in understanding and expressing your needs.

A lot of people seek psychological support when they are experiencing distress, but some people want to understand more about themselves and what will make their life most meaningful. I welcome the opportunity to work with you to provide relief from distress, but also to build deeper understanding of yourself and the impact of your past on your current experience.

EDUCATION

I completed both my Bachelor of Psychological Science with Honours and Master of Applied Psychology at the University of Queensland.

I have pursued further training in Schema Therapy, Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Family & Systemic Therapy and Triple P Positive Parenting.

I am a board-approved supervisor and happy to talk further if you are seeking a supervisor for your practice.

I also hold an academic title at the University of Queensland's School of Psychology.
